Kanazawa Guide-Interpreter Search Terms of Use

Kanazawa City Tourism Association (the “Association”) provides services (the “Services”) that enable an individual or corporation, such as a tourism enterprise, to make a guide request to National licensed guides, Kanazawa Visitors Hosts and foreign language volunteer guides (Kanazawa Goodwill Guide Network) through the website Kanazawa Guide-Interpreter Search (the “Website”), based on the following:

Article 1 Acceptance of the Terms of Use
Kanazawa Guide-Interpreter Search Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”) shall apply to all users of the Website. Users of the Services shall agree to the Terms of Use and the “Protection of Personal Information” provided separately prior to using the Services.
Article 2 Definitions
“Guest” refers to an individual or corporation, such as a tourism enterprise, that conducts a search for guide-interpreters and makes an inquiry through the Website. “Guide” refers to a National licensed guide or Kanazawa Visitors Host who transmits information through the Website.
Article 3 Copyright
The copyright for the Website contents is held by the Association and guides (with the copyright owned by guides limited to the self-introduction page). It is forbidden to replicate or reprint the contents of the Website without permission.
Article 4 User Responsibility
In using the Services, guests and guides shall not engage in the following acts. In cases where such acts are detected, the Association may refuse use of the Services to those guests and guides at the discretion of the Association:
  • 1. Any act that violates the Terms of Use, laws and ordinances, and public order and morals;
  • 2. Any act of posting false information on the Website;
  • 3. Any act of slandering a third party;
  • 4. Any act that violates the protection of personal information;
  • 5. Any other acts that the Association does not consider appropriate.
Article 5 Disclaimer

The Website offers services that provide guests with information on guides and enables guests to make an inquiry to the guides. It does not guarantee the success or failure of a deal between the guest and the guide posted on the Website.

5(2) The guest and guide shall assume responsibility for any deal formed. Any trouble or damages resulting from such a deal shall be resolved between the parties and no responsibility shall be assumed by the Association.

Article 6 Amendments to and Deletion of the Services
The Association may amend or delete the contents of the Services in order to improve them. The Association takes no responsibility in the event of any damages caused to the guest and guide due to any amendment or deletion. The Association shall post its intention to amend or delete the contents of the Services on the Website beforehand, except in urgent or minor cases.
Article 7 Suspension, Cancellation, etc. of the Services

The Association may suspend or cancel the Services for the following reasons with no requirement to obtain the consent of guests and guides. Note that the Association will take no responsibility in the event of any damages incurred by the guests and guides as a result of this:

When carrying out periodic or urgent maintenance or inspection of the system;
When operation of the Services becomes impossible due to an emergency such as an earthquake, fire, blackout etc.;
When the Services cannot be provided due to unauthorized access by a third party, computer virus, etc.;
When the Services cannot be provided due to measures based on laws and ordinances;
In other cases that the Association considers unavoidable.
In addition to the above, the Association will take no responsibility in the event of any disruption connected to use of the Website, such as delays in the Services, data loss etc., which are not attributable to either site maintenance or the Association.

Article 8 Links

When posting a link to the Website, please request permission from the Association and inform us of the content of your website and the URL. Note that permission for a link may be refused for any purposes not compatible with the purpose of the Website.

8(2) Although we may provide links from the Website to other websites, any linked websites are not managed by the Association; therefore, the Association will take no responsibility for any damage caused by the real intention and use of the contents.

Article 9 Revision of the Terms of Use
The Association may arbitrarily revise the Terms of Use to improve the Services. Any changes to the Terms of Use will take effect from the time they are posted on the Website.
Article 10 Governing Laws and Jurisdiction Court
The Terms of Use shall conform to Japanese law. Any dispute arising out of the Terms of Use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Kanazawa District Court or Summary Court based on their agreement.
